1966 Ford Mustang
This 66 Ford Mustang coupe is powered by a 200cu in. 3.3L straight 6 cylinder factory rated at 120 hp at 4400 RPM and 190 ft/lbs torque at 2400 RPM. It is paired with a three-speed automatic transmission.
John acquired the Mustang in April 21 specifically to convert it to electric. He wants it to remain Rear-wheel drive and to be about two times more powerful than today with 200-250 hp and 200-250 Lb-ft of torque.
The car is in North Little Rock, Arkansas and John is willing to ship it cross country for its EV conversion. He wants it to be EV-ready by July 23.

It is paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Braking is handled by front and rear drums. It is equipped with 4-bolt original 14” wheels and P205/ 70/ R14 tires.
The exterior is finished in silver blue. The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in light and medium blue vinyl joined by color cordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. The three-spoke steering wheel frames a sweeping 140-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The odometer has rolled over once and now shows 15K miles. So, car has 115K original miles. The car does not have air conditioning or power steering. The general condition of the vehicle is very good with no rust. It was garage kept by the previous owner and was driven only on sunny days. No restoration is needed.

With a curb weight of 2,840 lbs this Mustang is a very good candidate for EV conversion. John wants it to remain Rear-wheel drive and to be about two times more powerful than today with 200-250 hp and 200-250 Lb-ft of torque.
Although he has no preference in regard to the motor or battery, John thinks a dual hyper 9 coupled with a three-speed manual transmission could be the right setup to deliver the right amount of power and torque he needs. His expectations are very realistic with a range of 150-170 miles and a top speed of 100 mph.
Some upgrades are necessary such as suspension, brakes, wheels, tires and possibly a Power Parking Brake. No power brake nor power steering needed. John would like to add AC and would like EV instrumentation on the dash to be as OEM looking as possible - It can be analog or digital.
After EV conversion, John will be the main driver and will mostly enjoy his Mustang on nice days. He will charge it at home overnight. No towing requirements.
John is open to discussion with shops concerning resale and/or trade of parts removed parts from the Mustang such as motor, transmission, exhaust system, gas tank and any other not needed parts.
