Orlando, FL. Gary’s 1995 AM General Hummer H1 is a rare, exceptionally well-preserved example of this iconic 4WD truck, showing just 42,000 miles and still powered by its original 5.7L V8 gasoline engine. Garage-kept, never off-roaded, and free of rust, scratches, or dents, this H1 is in very good overall condition.
The truck was owned in Georgia and the Carolinas before he purchased it. Recently upgraded with reupholstered leather seats, a modern sound system, and a backup camera, it blends rugged military heritage with everyday comfort.

Already an EV owner, Gary is now looking to electrify his H1 for weekend and leisure use while preserving its core character.
He is targeting a single electric drive motor connected to the original transfer case to retain the truck’s legendary drivetrain capabilities, with an expected output of 300+ horsepower, 350+ lb-ft of torque, and a range of 130–150 miles. Charging will primarily take place at home using his existing Level 2 charger, with overnight charging being perfectly acceptable.
This project is focused on reliability, performance, and clean integration rather than rushing the build. Gary is open to selective upgrades to brakes and suspension only if required for safety and performance, and plans to replace the original ICE gauges with analog-style EV gauges that match the Hummer’s aesthetic.
The removed ICE components will be resold, and the vehicle is prepared for cross-country shipping to the right conversion shop. This H1 represents a powerful, functional, and forward-looking electric conversion that stays true to the truck’s original DNA while bringing it fully into the electric era.
