Great talking with you on Monday, sorry for the wait on this, I'm just getting back on my feet after a drawn out battle with this cold.
As we discussed you've got a few options on how to electrify your ride so I've put together the components I know you'll need. I did not include a rear suspension cradle for the Model S LDU simple because the rear track width on these are 66.9" and 68.75" mounting surface to mounting surface which seems a little wide (IMO). The Model 3 has a rear track width of 62.2 - 62.4" depending on model and year which might be a better fit with a more negative offset wheel. Using the original suspension cradle and fabricating some mounting points would allow you to simply bolt the whole deal in. The Tesla LDU install would require a customized IRS or as we talked about could possibly be mounted transverse in front of the original rear axle and connected with a driveshaft adapter and small drive shaft. The model 3 rear performance motors have just under 300 HP (283) and can be powered by the Model S modules. The pricing for either motor is the same, so let me know which one you think would work best.
The Add on components in the attached list (OBC, DC/DC and Vero BMS) can all communicate via CAN with each other. The Ev Controls T-2C can communicate with the charger over CAN, but not the BMS. This is not abnormal in these setups as the BMS does still have the ability to stop start up through a safety relay controlling the Contactors, as well as a shut off control to protect from over discharge. The combination of thresholds provided by the controller and the BMS gives you the ability to protect the system in all scenarios. There are other BMS brands that can communicate with the T-2C over CAN like the Dilitium BMS with the addition of after market BMS boards installed on each Battery module. It's a additional $500ish in boards and the time to switch them out if that would be preferred. I hate to overwhelm you with options but did want to let you know about this sense you had mentioned wanting everything to work together.
