Simply bolt in the battery box and motor, plug the wiring looms into one another, connect the cooling loops and drive. And we mean this. Every last detail has been considered, even down to the exact length that each cooling hose needs to be, so don’t expect to do any work yourself!
All of our kits are built and tested on our workshop test chassis, so we can check everything fits right, the wires are the right length and everything works correctly. We’ve done all the hard stuff, you just need to install it.
Installing one of our electric Land Rover/Defender conversion kits will take a week or so and although you will have everything you need (even down to every last bolt), you will need some equipment to install it, things such as an engine crane and a gearbox jack – so you will want to enlist the help of your local mechanic.

Long Range or Short Range?
To keep it simple, we don’t offer many options on our Land Rover and Defender conversion kits, this is simply because we’ve worked out the best way to do it, and that’s what we offer you. The main option we do give however is range, either 150 miles or 300 miles. So have a think about the range you need in your Land Rover, but remember it can be upgraded at anytime from 150 to 300 miles if you change your mind!

Fellten, who supply all of our battery systems are a large, highly reputable British manufacturer who specialise solely in high voltage battery packs for automotive, marine and storage applications. The UBP-55E was built with Land Rovers in mind, and utilises as much space under the bonnet as possible, seamlessly replacing the traditional engine.

Seat Box Battery Pack | FELLTEN Seatbox Upgrade To 110KWH
Again supplied by Fellten, this optional additional battery pack increases the battery capacity of our vehicles to 110 kWh. Only available in Defenders, it replaces the original seat box to add battery capacity without infringing on any interior space. This option is also available after an initial conversion, so you can decide later if you want to add it.

Drive System | Tesla Model 3 Drive Unit
The Tesla Model 3 motor powers all of our vehicles, these are chosen due to their OEM level quality and reliability characteristics. We fully refurbish used motors in house, making them like new (gears, bearings, differential, oil, vapour blasting). The motor allows for fantastic on and off-road performance, it’s very powerful but also easily dialled down by our smartphone app, allowing for a truly personalised driving experience.

Charging System | 7KW AC + 70KW DC Rapid Charging System
Our vehicles are charged in the same way as production EV’s, whether this be at a public fast charger, a charger on your driveway, or a regular household power socket. Fast charging (CCS) allows for super fast charging when on the go, and when you get where you’re going you can even output power to run household electronics, for example the kettle at your kids sports day!
