UNIVERSAL RETROFIT PACKS FOR EV CONVERSIONS
We use automotive industry best practices to create our modular battery packs, which include OEM and proprietary components that we manufacture for the best consistency and durability. Our battery packs exceed industry standards for degas flow.

Carbon-Kevlar-Fiberglass Composite Housing
APP EV uses a lightweight Carbon-Kevlar-Fiberglass composite housing to encase its battery packs, which provides several advantages over common steel-encased battery modules. In addition to overall weight reduction of up to 80% of comparable steel battery boxes, each pack weights only 229 lbs. dry. This composite sandwich material is highly resistant to corrosion from chemicals and outside elements and provides superior impact resistance.
Our battery pack cases are fully sealed, allowing installers to mount them in any orientation, even upside down!
Modular Battery System
APP EV's Modular Battery System’s single-string design minimizes complexity and Battery Management System cost. We use Kore Power batteries, an industry leader in energy storage solutions. APP EV’s Modular Battery Packs deliver 78 kWh of energy storage, which delivers the range you need to enjoy driving your vehicle without concern.
Each pack includes 8 battery modules in a 3S4P (three series, four parallel) configuration with insulated copper busbars.
The pack includes 26 cell voltage and 16 temperature measurements, which are wired to an external, 61-pin LV connector for integration into popular battery management systems.
Cooling
APP EV’s universal modular EV battery packs feature active cooling plates with quick-release OEM automotive connectors. Users can choose between two directional locations each for cooling system entry and exit.
HVIL
APP EV uses OEM Automotive go/no-go Amphenol connectors with an integrated HVIL (High Voltage Interlock Loop) that is wired to an external Low-Voltage (LV) bulkhead connector. This design ensures the highest degree of safety and simplifies the integration process.
An Amphenol 400A Fused Manual Service Disconnect (MSD) HV kill switch is integrated into every pack.
BMS
APP EV’s Universal Modular Battery Packs are tested to work with Orion and AEM EV BMS-18 Battery Management Systems, and is compatible with most popular battery management systems. Contact us for more information.
