Robert needs a turn-key conversion as he is not interested in physically taking part in the process. The closer the builder, the better, but will consider shipping to Michigan or New York. Finding an experienced retrofitter is high on the list.
Robert purchased his 1967 Mercedes-Benz 230 SL in 1990. Engine and drive train is a 150 HP Inline 6 cylinder coupled with a 4-speed manual transmission. With a curb weight of 2,866 lbs, it is relatively light. The car is currently located in Ontario, Canada.
It has front disc and rear drum brakes, power steering, and AC. It’s in original condition, without rust, has not been driven in several years, and is not running at this time.

As the primary driver, Robert will mainly do in-town driving with the the local golf course as a favorite destination. Range expectation is between 130-150 miles, and he is interested in fast charging as an option. Equal or a little more horsepower than factory would be great with an 80 mph top speed.
Suspension, wheels, and tires are all in good condition and should not need attention. Brake upgrades may be considered. For the gauges, he would be interested in understanding the options available and how they would integrate into the vehicle’s overall look.
The resale of ICE-related parts is open for discussion between him and the converter. Used parts would be preferable with interest and a review of available warranties.
There are no towing requirements.
