1961 Chevrolet C10 1/2 ton stepside
This 1961 Chevrolet C10 ½ ton stepside is powered by an LS3 Vortec V8 4L60E coupled with an automatic transmission. Its odometer shows 4600 miles and is in perfect condition.
Michael is looking for a shop to convert the C10 to electric hoping to keep the vehicle within Texas or as close as possible. He wants the truck to be a bit more powerful than today, with over 250 hp, 300-350 Lb-ft of torque, and 90mph top speed.

With a curb weight of 4,200 Lbs, he expects a range of 210-230 miles and will use the truck for leisure during weekends.
Michael would like the converter to install a 12-21 Model S or 15-21 Model X Tesla rear subframe/motor assembly motor with the AEM EV CHEVY C10 rear Tesla subframe mount kit and Tesla rear cradle coilover bracket. Today's rear axle is a '61 1/2" Heavy Bolt-in Notch 1/2" pin offset BBL SP 31 spline 4.75 BP 7/16" X 1 1/2" screw-in Studs'.
Finally, both AC and power steering must be retained and upgraded for conversion. There are no towing requirements.
