2004 Maserati Spyder
Proposals received : 1
Mike purchased his 2004 Maserati Spyder in February 2005 and is the original owner. He needs a turn-key conversion as he is not interested in physically taking part in the process. The car is currently located near San Diego, California. The closer the builder, the better, but he will consider shipping cross-country to the right builder.
As the primary driver, Mike will mainly do in-town driving. Range expectation is between 150-170 miles and he will charge at home overnight. A little less horsepower than factory would be sufficient with 300-350hp and an 80 mph top speed.
Mike purchased his 2004 Maserati Spyder in February 2005 and is the original owner. The factory 4.2L V-8 develops 390 horsepower and produces 332 lb-ft of torque. It’s coupled with a Manual 6-speed transmission. The car is currently located near San Diego, California.
The car is stock as produced by Maserati and has been serviced every year. It is in excellent condition - without rust. With a curb weight of 3,800 lbs, it has front and rear disc brakes, power steering, AC and airbags.
Mike is also the proud owner of a 2023 Tesla Model X and a 1973 VW Superbettle Convertible that has been converted to electric by Zelectric. He needs a turn-key conversion as he is not interested in physically taking part in the process. The closer the builder, the better, but he will consider shipping cross-country to the right builder.

A little less horsepower than factory would be sufficient with 300-350hp and an 80 mph top speed. If possible, he would like to replace the entire Maserati drive train with a Tesla motor in the rear (RWD) and get a 50-50 weight distribution with the batteries in the front.
Suspension is all in good condition and should not need attention. Brake, wheel, and tire upgrades may be considered.
All the Maserati gauges are mounted around the speedometer and tachometer. A Tesla display would involve a screen but he doesn’t know where it would be mounted. He wants to understand the options available and how they would integrate into the vehicle’s overall look.
The resale of ICE-related parts is open for discussion between him and the converter.
There are no towing requirements.
